Retreat leadership: Maitripa e.a.
We all carry forces within us that seem chaotic, wild, or even frightening. The Buddhist path doesn’t ask us to repress or avoid these energies — it invites us to meet them directly and transform them. This can give us the power and fearlessness to face this time of crisis – climate breakdown, injustice, anxiety, and disconnection – and become a force for good in the world.
On this retreat for 18–35s, we’ll draw on the wild and powerful myths of Padmasambhava — the tantric guru who tamed the forces of chaos — to explore how inner transformation connects to outer freedom. Through meditation, ritual, community and creativity, we’ll step into the symbolic “cremation ground,” where the old can burn away and something new can emerge. This is a space for raw honesty and deep connection. A space where the work we do in ourselves ripples out into the world.
This retreat is open to anyone who is 35 or under and who is open to Buddhist meditation and ritual.
